Funny you should ask..........4pm the door bell rang and sitting on the steps was a Pickel package!!!!!!
Holy crap, you guys who ordered one of these tanks are gonna be very happy. Those who didn't might want to rethink your choice.
The parts are very detailed with a minimal amount of flash so not much sanding at all.
The instructions are easy to follow so this looks like a quick build!
Three day weekend.......ya know what I'm doing.
Thanks Pickel!!!!!!
Pickelhaube Customs.......Keeping 1:18th Alive!
Normandy.
Just had to add that the detail on the PPsh-41's is superb and Matthew a how the hell did you cast the tanker and infantry helmets? there great!

I'll try to post some pics later today. I'm just about finished, all that needs to be done is to fit the tracks around the road wheels. Oh and then paint.
The track assembly will take you 3 plus hours take your time; you want each link to fit loosely with the next one before pinning them together.
Well back to work.

Here are a few pics of Pickelhaube's T-34/76 kit. http://news.webshots.com/photo/26373513 ... 8682ZALbFV
The tank is not finished, the tracks and road wheels glued in place. The upper hull and turret still need to be painted and then glued to the bottom hull.
I used a Jagdpanther for size comparison in the pics.
I may have 7 to 8 hours into it. The kit is well designed and goes together without much effort. The most time spent on the tank will be the track links!
I chose to leave off the front fenders / mud guards...just liked the look.
There are two tow cables, two tool boxes and two figures that come with the kit which add more detail to an already detailed kit. I'll be painting and weathering the tank at the end of the week.
One thing I'd like to say about the cost of the kit.....If you understand what it takes to design, then produce each piece, then make molds and then pour resign, bag and ship each kit........ well then you can see its worth the price.
Thanks Matthew, its a great kit and an enjoyable build.

Normandy, If you don't mind my asking - what brand and shade of green did you use on the hull of the T34? I have been debating what shade of green would be good to use on mine and I like the way yours turned out. Thanks in advance for your answer - A.J.

Re: 1/18 T-34/76 All orders have been SHIPPED !!!! !!
Maritime, well I ran out of primer so I grabbed a can of flat green. It just happened to be a can of Rust-olem Deep Forest Green Camouflage spray paint. They make five colors:
Army Green, Deep Forest Green, Earth Brown, Black and Khaki. (all colors are flat)
The tank tracks are painted Earth Brown, with a little weathering I think they'll look convincing using that color.
I plan on using Model Masters Russian Armor Green, if it doesn't look good I'll go back to the forest green.

This probably should be in the custom section but it started here.
Rust-oleum Camouflage paint: http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=124
Found at Home Depot.
Krylon Camouflage paint: http://www.krylon.com/products/camoufla ... echnology/
Found at Ace Hardware.
I am still trying to decide which head sculpt to use for the T-34 tank commander that came with the kit.
I'm leaning towards the Erdmann figure, I just like the expression on that sculpt. http://www.sshqdb.com/18/displayimage.p ... =668&pos=0

Everybody should have gotten theirs by now. Except maybe those guys out of country.
How do they look ?
Is there something I should have done different ?
