If you read the posts on The Fighting 1/18th outlining the conversations with Merit at SDCC in relation to JSI's view, the F-15 more than likely isn't going to happen.
The J-11/Su-27 "is" going to happen at some point but its being contemplated if it will be made available for sale here in the US. More than likely a foreign release due to it's size and shipping costs.
The A-10 though seems to have popped up on their radar now though, althought there hasn't been any indication of how serious they are entertaining it. They evidently have started to ask if one is wanted, like that is any news...
I'm not holding my breath though.

Go Ugly Early in 1/18!!
Still waiting and wishing for a 1/18 A-10 Warthog.

surprising news about the f-15....i would have thought it would be very popular. Perhaps the F-14 wasn't as hot a seller as they'd hoped? Of course the spot debacle may have had something to do with that.
I think they need to rethink their marketing strategy. Chinese airforce 2 seat su-27's and israeli f-15's are not smart. They're fine for repaints of 1/72 planes but for the S1 of a 1/18? Just make a nice usaf f-15 and re-release it every couple of years and it will sell forever. Anyone believe BBI's f-18 and f-16 wouldn't be gobbled up if they re-released a couple of thousand of each?

Why some one else's and not yours??? LOLusmcchet9296 wrote:I may be one of the few who actually like there F-14 and would have liked a F-15 but not on Israeli colors. That being said I would give someones left nut for a A-10 since that happens to be my favorite modern airplane.
I say make the F-15E in USAF markings!

Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?

My mistake. It has been so long since I saw a picture.
If they do an E version, then it better come with a full loadout of bombs.
Would still prefer a C version.

F-15
They should go out on a thin-limb with a big backpack to make it but if they mess up the weathering. or a gear is not strong enough, I am going to trash talk the Company until the cows come home!

make it i buy itJim@Merit wrote:JSI is quite concerned about the eventual sticker price and are finding ways in how to keep cost down.
As for the IDF F-15,... the sole intension was to add more "color" in the convention booth rather than air planes in various tone of gray color. That's why they did the Iranian F-14 too.
whats up doc....
