What happened to our hopes of seeing 1:32 warplanes being made again?

They are, but you have to build them yourself.
Finally saved up enough ebay loot to get myself a B-25. I actually already have a P-38 I built but I have a second kit I'd like to make into a night recon or droop snoop.
A neat thing I've noticed with the kits is that I can sort of justify what looks like a repaint to the uneducated, but is actually a different model of a subject. For example, there are about 9 different versions of the Spitfire in 1/32 kit form out there: Mk I, Mk Ib, Mk Vb, Mk Vb Trop, Mk VI, Mk VIII, Mk IXc, Mk XVIe and Mk 22/24. Now I can have 9 different paint schemes of Spitfires knowing I didn't just buy the same plane 9 times. I actually bought a case of the 21C BF109F kits with the intention of building all of them as NON-German planes - I have markings for Bulgarian, Finnish, and Italian planes.
Things like that I may not see manufactured in my lifetime, so I have to manufacture them myself.
