1. I like VF-111 Sundowner scheme, but this one seems missing famed Miss Molly. Was it accurate in 1988?
2. I bought a VF-103 Jolly Rogers AJ103 (bottom). It seems missing an emblem on its left wing which AJ100 (top) has. Is mine wrong or are they both accurate? If mine is wrong, I need to apply a decal. Thanks.

I asked this question at 2pm here, and the guy asked at 6pm there. Talk about telepathy!
I like my plane as historically accurate as possible. If not, I'd fix it within my ability. Was the real plane painted that way without emblems? I hope someone can answer here or there.
I got my answer for the first question:
Guess I can buy that without doubt.

I found the answer for my question: Fightertown decals FTD14404
http://www.fightertowndecals.com/files/ ... verweb.jpg
http://www.fightertowndecals.com/files/ ... ersweb.jpg
According to the instruction, there should be
NO insignia on the left wing, but one under the right. CW gets it right if one insignia under the right wing, which I can't verify.
I think that's the decisive evidence so far. Can you pass the answer to the guy I have telepathy with?

I don't have an account there.

Not enough of a rivet counter to give you an answer, but there are at the other forum.
Century Wings have just released two more Tomcats[Jolly Rogers 1978 AJ207,and Black Aces} to make their total 1/72 F-14 at 20 models!

1/144 Nimitz for sale, circa 1978.

If I see this one in person, my aneurysms will blow up.
All metal Nimitz....2.5m long, I guess 300lbs?
I wonder how much $$$ is needed to fill the whole carrier? Nimitz itself, plus squadrons of F-14, A-6, A-7 and etc. Anyone?[/url]

Supposedly, just the carrier itself is $20,000.
And the 1/144 F-14 is $50,from The Flying Mule.

So you are looking at close to $25,000.
NOT for the "average" collector.
It would be pretty cool though.
