I was wondering if these have any diecast on them like the FoV stuff? Also are the figs better than the FoV ones?

21C versus Unimax...

Diecast - The 21C stuff was originally all plastic. After FoV hit the market with their heavy use of diecast, 21C released a number of their vehicles as "Cold Steel" adding diecast turrets, hulls, or both. I know the M4 Sherman and M7 were released as "Cold Steel", I'm not sure which German items were. For the final production 21C returned to all plastic contruction.

Figures - 21C were usually a bit smaller. More like Airfix or "modelers" 1/32 scale (3/8"=1'). The Fov figures are a skosh bigger, like 54mm figure scale. Many of their figures weren't bad but some were cast in a rubbery vinyl. The earlier FoV figure sets wewre HORRIBLE. The anatomy was poorly rendered and the weapons were underscale. Later figure sets had some much better figures, sometimes mixed with old ones. 21C weren't great but were at least consistent. The 21Cs are also (IMHO) easier to detail or customize.

There were a number of 21c vehicles with diecast as part of the Cold Steel series. The only diecast part on any 21c 32x vehicles was the upper hull piece. That differs from many FOV tanks, which often had both the upper hull, turret, and gun made with diecast. Just for reference, the 32x vehicles that were made in the Cold Steel format were the following:
Panzer IIID
Panzer IIIL
Panzer IVD
Panzer IVH
Panther
Jagdpanther
King Tiger (Henschel turret)
Jagdtiger
88mm gun
Opel Blitz truck
Opel Maultier Halftrack
Flakpanzer IV Wirblewind
Flakpanzer IV Modelwagen
Sturmpanzer IV Brumbar
Stug IV
M-4 Sherman
M-24 Chaffee
M-7 Priest
M-113 APC

...and I think that's it

21c originally proposed doing both the M-18 Hellcat and Tiger tank in Cold Steel format, but those never materialized.

The German Opel halftrack and Cargo truck was one of the last 21st toolings in 1/32.

Most of the cabs are diecast.
