Jack,
Any new info on the mostly metal gear you've been working on. I'm really excited about the prospect of a good gear fix.
Phil

Im working with metal casting company they should finish casting soon I have few first production samples which I modified and send back, so it shouldn't be long ,gear could retract if there would be enough room in a gear bay or if you modified it JSI made another mistake when coping Tamiya F-14,I went for scale look lots of details , trade of for functionality , but trust me you would not like to cover this gear here is a picture of painted one note left is different than right I ad another new part "gray"

when the gear retract the wheels rotate inward...into the bay if the main landing gear does not rotate u will not get it to fit in
also merit use spring so that the small arms world lock into the landing gear lock
whats up doc....

i meant nothing by that
the web page at merit show how the landing gear should go flush with the door once retracted and as u pull out the gear you rotate it parallel to the other wheels
http://www.merit-intl.com/month/vf-84%20landing.htm
that is what i meant..
