So I have a dumb question......I have been collecting the 1:18 figures and a few pieces of armor and the 1:16 Wittmann tiger from FoV. My question is is how does the 1:32 Fov and ultimate soldier stuff compare? I do like that all of FoV tanks are diecast but I dont like how you cant "pose" the figs.
Any input?
1:18 vs 1:32

* figures ?
........... I don't know of any WWII 54mm figures that are posable w/ the exception of FoV's new modern series ones.
* If yer talkin' WWII , the 21st. 54mm ones are better than the FoV ones on steroids. If yer talkin' 1:18 , then the bbi ones are nice but I like the recent FoV ones too. I still like the older 21st. figs though.
.......... try the Can.Do series 1:35 figures. They work quite well w/ FoV & 21st.C vehicles.
* Especially the Tiger Aces series.

The FOV tanks usually have more accurate toolings, better paint jobs, and of course more diecast construction than the 21c vehicles. The tooling on a lot of the FOV tanks tends to be quite accurate. For example, compare an FOV Panzer IV with the 21c version and there is little question of which tops out. Many of the FOV German tanks have the zimermitt moulded plus all the little dents and dings whereas the 21c vehicles are "clean." I would also say that FOV has the greater variety of 1;32 vehicles, especially when one counts
FOV's figures usually stink. The older ones have this "Popeye" thing going on with their arms and look totally out or proportion. However, many of the figures that come wtih FOV vehicles have excellent tooling. 21c 1:32 figures are good all around.
In terms of 1:32 aircraft, the 21c planes win hands down. The only decent FOV 1:32 plane is the P-39 - the others have toyish tooling, oversized rivets, and inaccurate paint schemes.

To me, they're apples and oranges... 1:18's action figures and 1:32's static figures. The two are different to me, if that helps any.
