Does anyone have one of these? I was wondering how much metal is on this and is it better than the 21st century King Tiger one?
Thanks all and have a great NEW YEAR!!

Re: MOTORWORKS KING TIGER TANK
First, lets get our Tigers straight. The was a 1:18 scale Motorworks Tiger I Tank produced, but never a King Tiger. A 1:18 King Tiger did make it to the prototype stage shortly before 21c went under, but was never mass produced.rocky100370 wrote:Does anyone have one of these? To answer your question, the diecast Motorworks Tiger I tank had only the upper hull section made of diecast. All other parts: turret, lower hull, wheels, tracks, hatches, etc. were plastic. Still, given the size of the Tiger, the diecast upper hull alone made the tank pretty heavy. Apart from the diecast, it was identical to the regular 21c Tiger I tank.
All the early 21c releases at Wal Mart in the 2003-2004 timeframe came packaged in Motorworks boxes, which was Wal Mart's own brand for vehicle toys. For the most part, the items were exactly the same as the non-Motorworks 21c versions, even retaining the 21c logo. The usual difference was that some Motorworks armored vehicles used diecast in the construction while the regular 21c versions did not. (Other 21c items got released with the New Millenium Toys logo on them, but thats a different story).
