FOV Flak Gun and raising the barrel?

I got the 1:32 scale FOV Flak Gun and I am having problems with raising the barrel

Any help or suggestions to make it work????

It rotates 360 degrees horizontally OK with no problems.

............ very carefully !

* make sure there is nothing obstructing it first. It may just be stuck from paint. You might have to work it. Hold the base of the gun and w/ the other hand , move the barrel upwards. ... Don't be afraid !

* What do the instructions say ? ... It should come w/ some sort of manual. Doesn't it ?

Thanks, I applied even pressure and it finally moved.
You're right about the paint as it now works OK

Now that you seem to have gotten the barrel to move, did you notice FOV's little detail they added to this gun? The hand cranks actually work to elevate and traverse the barrel

Yes I noticed that first when rotating the barrel
The wheel moves when raising the barrel as well
I took out my magnifying glass to see if the barrel travel lock worked but doesn't seem to
I liked this one so much I might buy another for a diorama
Also have the SdKfz7 Half Track. Too bad the hitch doesn't work.
