Thats a great idea Tman. Of course, BBI hasn't exactly been belting out new releases. It will be interesting to see how the 109 sells for them. Timing looks to be good as the only avenue for the 21C 109 now is e-bay and TRU.

Anybody seen the DWK Spitfire that went for $455 on ebay last week?

Sadly that's the only one I'm missing.

DWK Spitfire for $455.
Some of the prices lately for the 21C stuff is pretty crazy.

Supply and demand, there is no supply and apparantly there is a demand. Remember these molds were destroyed so if someone else does one (hopefully) it'll be from the ground up.

I have one of those, still with its box. Actually, I got it relatively recently in 2007 from Foxhole toys for around $55. I was taking a class on the early years of WWII and wanted a Spitfire in a true "Battle of Britain" scheme. Even then, Spits were getting harder to find, but Foxhole still had one. It is one plane I will not let go

I have a ZPA black/white underbelly deco... Anyone want it for $500 clams? :)

I don't even like the Spit that much, as I'm more interested iN US/German fighters more than anything, so man oh man would I part with it for that kinda moolah.

I only got it because it's somewhat iconic and that black/white belly is pretty slick looking.

My NKK is on permanent display.
A real shame that more Spitfires were not produced? :?
A real opportunity for a company like JSI to re release this model.
I know about the molds issue etc.

Just an absolutely iconic aircraft, that can be done in so many versions, and schemes.

Even Corgi dropped the ball a bit, when it came to their Spitfires.

NKKs were stacked to ceiling at WM. A board member picked up a bunch for $15 and was nice enough to hook me up with one. ZPAs and DWKs were available for a LONG time at SmallJoes.

On a related note that NKK Spit was really the first AC I opened up and displayed. Before then I was strictly groundpounding. It was so nice that it started a 20 AC collection...

i have nkk and dwk....didn't really care for zpa so i never got it. Both are open and on display, one flying, one posed taking off (scramble!). Wouldn't part with them for twice the money.

I hope we see more spitfires one day, on top of PH's desert V.

Always wanted a Spit but entered this hobby late in the ballgame. Just can't stomach the price to get an NKK

After two years of looking and waiting, I finally snagged a Spitfire off the bay last night (NKK) for.......$91!!! Relatively cheap considering that no more will be made; I actually felt a bit bad about spending so much on a toy airplane, but thinking about the 1:32 21st P51B that sold for around 100 last week (I read it here on the forums), I felt better. Weird thing is, last week there was a NKK that sold for around 130 last week, and just today another NKK ended at $84, guess I should have waited eh? I'm soooo excited to finally have a Spit, this one is never gonna leave the house for sure! For those of you still looking for a Spit, my advice is keep looking and be patient, there are still deals to be had out there!

I have both the ZPA and NKK in the box. I don't think there are deals to be found for the DWK. I bid on the one that went for $455.00. Too much when I think of what these planes retailed for.

I got the ZPA in summer of last year for somewhere around $150.

I agree with the old posts that someone like BBI or now JSI should make another one.
