No, those pieces are definitely 1:18. The pic you site doesn't show the necessary size difference to constitute them being 1:32, and actually just looks like a normal Panther:Hanomag or Tiger:Hanomag size difference in 1:18. Also, upon close investigation you can see that the Hanomag variants have indivudual bogey wheels, a characteristic not present on the 1/32 versions.EnemyAce wrote:not true. you can see in pic #15 that the stummel, uhu, etc. are in 1:32 here: http://www.js-int.net/news.html#

I disagree. Unless someone can show me how you can fit an M48 *inside* the cabin of a Huey, then those vehicles lined up under the poster are 1:32, and the huey & f-15 on the left are 1:18, and the panther and tiger on the right are also 1:18.PanzerArm wrote:No, those pieces are definitely 1:18. Or do you think that the Panther & Tiger on the right side of image #15 are 1:4 scale?

I think you're leaving out perspective man, those tanks are further away from the camera than the Huey or the panther and tiger. The Mutt is what sold it for me that they are 1:18, it's way too big next to the 1:18 panther to be 1:32, because the 1:32 jeeps are tiny, they'd look really really small compared to a 1:18 tank, and that mutt does not. And then as you go down the line of vehicles to the left, comparing each vehicle to its neighbor for scale, they all seem to match up fine.
Again, let me reiterate, there were never individually moving bogey wheels on 21st century's 1:32 sdkfz 251s, only the 1:18 ones. Also, they never made a Mutt in 1/32, or an M48. This JSI company seems to be specializing in 21st's 1:18 stuff, with no deviation into 1:32, unfortunately.

The panther and tiger are on the *same wall*. The panther is right next to the mutt, maybe 1 foot to the right, and 1 foot higher up. How does that explain a perspective difference that leaves a 1:18 Mutt or 251 that is only a little wider than the *track* of a 1:18 panther?
I think you are making too much of the details of the vehicles. These obviously are a combination of retools and new molds. 21st never produced a stummel or UHU, either.
The huey could be due to perspective, maybe, but not the panther & tiger. Maybe I'm crazy. I guess I'll soon find out.

If it helps any of your guys dissagrements go and look on their website at the products they say they are going to produce, they do not show the night fighting halftrack or kanonwagon as being produced in either scale let alone planned for production any time soon, also the manlet of the 1/18 walker bulldog they say they are producing looks nothing like the manlett (sp?) of the one shown in the photos next to the german halftracks. So i too hold a sneaking suspicion that they are 1/32 not 1/18.

Conteaddict, If you look closely, quite a few of their obviously 1:18 pieces don't quite look like their pictures on the website database. This is attributable to the fact that the ones on display are probably the prototypes, not necessarily the production models. This would also explain the presence of the, what I'm convinced are 1:18, sdkfz 251 variants. They are just prototypes present at the toy show to show what else is possibly upcoming from JSI, and not yet in production, thus not on the main website.
I still think that you are not getting the size difference between a 1:32 sdkfz 251 and 1:18 Panther. A 1:32 sdkfz is like 9 inches long from the very front to the overhanging rear superstructure. I don't own any 1:18, too big for the space I have available, but I have seen them in stores quite often, and I would guess a 1:18 Panther to be about 18-20 inches long (not including main gun), and that the track would be about as wide as the sdkfz 251. Now if you were to move the sdkfz in the photo up to be even with the panther, thus making it larger, it would be about half the width of the Panther, much larger than what a 1:32 one would be. Someone needs to post a side by side pic of a 1:32 sdkfz 251, 1:18 sdkfz 251, and a 1:18 Panther so we can settle this once and for all.

That's a start!
How long is the 1:18 sdkfz 251?

Leaving aside the 251, the tanks parked next to it should be a better example. Unless the Panther is actually about 6 feet closer to the camera than the Bulldog, Sherman, and M48 in the same row with the 251, then they are definitely 1:32, since I think we can assume that those tanks in 1:18 would be more than 1/2 the width and height of a 1:18 panther.
1:144 coming back!!!
At least the news is official that I get another shot at getting the 1:144 2 1/2 ton 6X6s! These little tanks are strangely addictive.
