Personally, I like the Following 3 because they look cool:
VF-31 "Tomcatters"
VF-33 "Starfighters"
VF-111 "Sundowners"
I hope that any of the following 10 get made:
VF-14 "Top Hatters"
VF-21 "Freelancers"
VF-32 "Swordsmen"
VF-31 "Tomcatters"
VF-33 "Starfighters"
VF-101 "Grim Reapers"
VF-103 "Sluggers" / "Jolly Rogers"
VF-111 "Sundowners"
VF-124 "Gunfighters"
VF-211 "Fighting Checkmates"

Sundowners and the Jolly Rogers all the way! The minute I heard that an F-14 might come out I already started plans to repaint the Tomcat!

Did 2 deployments with the Wolfpack and Bounty Hunters so I choose them but I'll take whatever comes down the pike. Saw a Wolfpack plane captain roll one off into a catwalk once, he's lucky the nose gear got hung up or he'd took a multi-million dollar swim and also saw the Bounty Hunters CAG trap a little too far right of the foul line and take the nose off an A-6 and the tail off an SH-3, very exciting day that was..talk about a major fod walkdown.

I can't believe that there was an actual reserve squadron called "Fighting Fubijars".
VF-1285 "Fighting Fubijars"
BTW, "FUBIJAR" stands for "F**K YOU BUDDY I'M JUST A RESERVIST."

I did some Westpacs with VF-1 and VF-2 on the Enterprise (not ST) and with VF-111 and VF-51 on the Vinson and KittyHawk way back in my Navy days. Sweet looking birds!!!

VF-84 and VF-103. Those are the only right schemes for the tomcat.

Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

Wow, they all look great but the "Grim Reapers" or "Sundowners" would be alright with me.
Can you tell I like the P-40 and the A-10?

Here are my favorites. I have to admit my reasons are based purely upon looks alone, I don't know much about modern squadrons

.
VF-32 Swordsmen
VF-74 Bedevillers
VX-4 Vampires
VF-124 Gunfighters
NFWS Topgun
I will buy whatever is offered but hopefully someone with some pull is lurking around this site.

Since we're all excited about an upcoming Tomcat and drooling over which livery we want out Tomcat featured in, I figured we can all get acquainted with the histories of our favorite F-14 squadrons and see each squadrons' liveries over the years by delving into Torsten Anft's amazing F-14 website. Click on the squadron's link and get started:

I figured that most would get upset withe the many pics, so I did not do the Low-Visibility schemes.

I'm liking the Vampire and Jolley Roger squadrons.
I also like the Top Gun scheme. It's different with the camo.
