Happy Father's Day to My Fellow Dad's

Post by Mr. Football » Sun Jun 19, 2005 8:25 am

It's great to be a dad, and be able to share the enjoyment of this hobby with your kids. Mine's only 16 months old, but he loves dad's planes.

Anyhow, Happy Father's Day!

And my boys are 12 and 9. They both interest in WW2 and the weapons of that time. Because I have never time to continue my old hobby - plastic models - and to show the children, how to make it, tens (I hope not hundreds!) of my old and new unbuilt models stay in the cave in my atelier. The only solution for us are the ready models like FoV and 21stCT. And the real militaria from time to time.

My son is 2 1/2 and always wants to "look at tanks". We sit on the floor and open one box after another until all the boxes are open. I wouldn't recommend this if you want to keep your models in mint condition but I enjoy it as much as he does.

My little girl is 6 and her Barbi has her own tank! I can't wait to give her the 442.

My twin 3 1/2 y.o. boys love all of the miltary items planes or armor. It gets a little dicey keeping them in good shape though. The other day one of them decided to use the Dodge Truck as a stool and it didn't hold up so well. I still enjoy sharing the planes and tanks with them. And I hope their interest continues with mine.
