Price Increases @ TRU on 21st C 1:32 A/C

Post by RAD 2112 » Sat Jul 12, 2008 6:48 am

I stopped in the local TRU yesterday to see what they had in 1:32 Aircraft.
There were still P-47 Evie from February and a couple of Sharkmouth P-51s.
Last week, I picked up a Sharkmouth P-51 for $19.99, now they're $21.99.

Looks like I'm sticking with Wal-Mart for my Aircraft purchases.

Unfortunately, I think this is a sign of the times and it wouldn't surprise me if we see more increases. even with Walmart...

Well that certainly doesn't help clear out the Evie P-47s and FW-190Ds that are everywhere. Maybe if they got in some spitfires they'd get some buyers. I still hate wal Mart and will pay more just to avoid shopping there, but I need selection....

Makes BCA look like a steal! Now if we order five at a time we can even save gas money with their free shipping.

Damn inflation.

That just sucks!!! But if I see the new Spitfire at TRU first I will still buy it at that price.

As usual, nothing but those GD Sharkies and some P-47's at my TRU but I did notice the price increase myself. Also, was the individual 32x armor like the Marder always $20 there? I didn't get mine from there and thought it was kind of odd they cost as much as a playset.

Yes, the armor was $20, or at least that is how much I paid for the lone Panzer 38T and Marder IIIM I found at TRU around the holidays. Then they showed up in bulk at Wal Mart for $5 less a few weeks later...

Unfortunately, I think most of us would do the same thing.

I'd gladly pay that much for a Spitfire if I could find one. But considering the horrible state of 21st distribution here I doubt I will ever have the chance.

Same here, effective today.... :?
Oh well, if TRU gets it and Walmart doesn't. I'll have to bite the bullet.

No Spits at TRU today but they had stacks and stacks of Panzer 38T's and the two Marders.
