Applying Swastikas to the tails of Dragon Me109s & Fw190

Post by GI GENE » Tue May 03, 2005 8:33 pm

Has anybody tried to add Swastikas to the tails of Dragon's Me109s & Fw190s? Would decals you find in model kits work? Since you are applying them to a painted metal surface, what would be the decal solution to use?

Gene,
I use Superscale decals to add the Swastikas to my 1/72 planes.. I also use Micro-Sol decal solution with fine results.. Superscale and some other manufacturers make decal sheets of just Swastikas and Balkenruzes' for German planes..

You may want to give the tail a light dusting of dullcote after applying the decals. This will seal them on permanently, get rid of any uneven sheen etc.
