Hobby stores in Washington DC
Hobby stores in Washington DC
It looks like I will be taking a road trip to Washington DC later in April and was wondering if there are any hobby shops in the are that anyone could recommend. I am collecting 1:32 FOV, 21c, and 1:72 Dragon armor, but am tempted to start a K&C collection as well. Never seen K&C in person and do not know of any shop here in Ottawa (Canada) that carries them. So I thought this could be a good opportunity to perhaps get a couple of K&C sets while I'm down there. For those of you in Washington, can you please help? Thanks.
Re: Hobby stores in Washington DC
Unfortunately not really much in the area. The District (Wash DC) does however have a toy soldier shop, but last I checked, they're really open by appointment only? There are several "shake and bake" type stores in the area, I suggest checking out Hobby Works, they've got three locations in the DC Metro Area and stock a very good selection of Dragon, Corgi and some FOV. There are also Hobbytown USA's, which have recently started carrying a decent selection of 21st Century and also carry some FOV and Corgi. If you need specifics, feel free to email me at P8ntguns4sale@aol.com and I'll assist you in any way I can.AgentDolu wrote:It looks like I will be taking a road trip to Washington DC later in April and was wondering if there are any hobby shops in the are that anyone could recommend. The Toymaker of Williamsburg
There's a great shop in Williamsburg, Virginia called 'The Toymaker of Williamsburg'. It's been there for many years, I recall buying my first toy soldier and Corgi vehicle there well over 20 years ago. Neat place!

Check out the K&C homepage and look under dealers. There is one listed in Ottawa and two in Quebec.I purchased my first few sets from Ron Danials in Goderich,Ontario.Great dealer to work with. With the exchange not as tight the prices might not be as bad in Canadian dollars.
Its definately worth viewing something before buying but as others have said the K&C stuff is just that much better viewed in person.I agree.Good luck in DC.Don't let Stompin Tom know your visiting.Lol!

Nice place to look, but you won't find much in the way of bargains.
