I modified the doors so they have the bi folding effect and added some detail to the wing folding mechanism, I am not done and plan on redoing the wing root and add some detail.

These are the antennas I made out of plastic forks.

Thank you, for the kind words, I strive to be as good as you and the others on this board that do out standing paint and customs jobs.

I had to borrow the camera from a friend who came to visit me….I will get one sometime soon.

Btw the wing inserts are made out of cardboard from a fancy feast box cat food box. I plan on making some out of plastic and with more detail latter on.

I have been waiting for months to show you guys some of my work.

I used nylon rc hinges http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/566588.asp
I then cut the bomb bay door while it is still on the avenger.
If you look on the inside of the bomb doors you will see where it would separate, then take a hobby knife and scourge it from the inside, till it is weak enough then you cab snap it apart…I then taped them together and used two stage epoxy...It took about 25 min and another hour to paint. But it took about 3 weeks to get the guts to do it.

Your right that is always the hard part of any project for me.

The bomb bays look great . Good idea about the hinges I did not even notice them.

P-dawg...

Congrats from the 'House of Rob' Designs, Inc.! You are on your way to becoming reckless! They say no guts- no glory, you crossed that threshold and nothing should stop you. You wind up finding yourself daring yourself to do more and out-do your last hurdle. Flawless job on the hinges.

This what I am talking about. but with more detail should not be a problem for you to do...and ii would fix one of the biggest problems I have with the avenger.

I think I can.

Anyway to get any pics of this area ?

I think that the ribs should probably have round holes in them rather than solid.

If I can get pics it should not be that hard to replicate.

Here is something with a little detail. i was wrong about the round holes

I also really like the idea of some insert plugs for the Avenger. All of mine are displayed with the wings folded back and it has always bugged me too. I need about 8 pair of these.

I think I would go for a pair myself.

Also, can anyone suggest an easy way to plug the holes? I got my Avenger after everyone else seemed to get the official ones.

nice job on the hinges. I just cut my bomb door in half lenthwise and glued them open in the hinged position. To have them actually working is great!
