I was in Michaels craft store the other day and spotted a 1/32 Testors model kit for a 1/32 Apache. I came home and dusted off the one I assembled and painted a couple of years ago and can't recall us ever discussing this here.
This is basically a put it together yourself New Ray Apache and it is definitely more toy-like than the 21C/FOV releases but since it is the only 1/32 helicopter out there it is worth picking up. I gave mine a black wash and detailed the cockpit, missle pods and hellfires and gave the rotor tips some paint. The only real problem with this is there is a large plastic "hump" between the landing carriage helping to hide the connector to the two wheels.
Almost every weekend there is a 40% off coupon for the store so you can get this for something like $8-10. If you are bored it may not be a bad project.

Working on it. It's still in the design stages. To get what I want, it will require painting skills greater than I possess. I'll let you know if this one ever gets off the ground.
