Ultimate Soldier Tiger tank question
What do you guys think of the 21st Century Tiger tank? I am thinking of getting one, and I would like some opinions. I have the BBI Sherman, and that is a great model. Does the 21st Centruy Tiger tank have the detail of the BBI Sherman?

Tiger tank ( ? )
* Get the Eastern Front Tiger , it is by far , the best of.
* It has an interior just like the grey one , so it is somewhat detailed.
* The Motorworks brand diecast Winter "white-washed" one , aint too bad either.

After all these years the 21C Tiger is still nothing to sneeze at. People point out that it actually has aspects of both an early and late model (road wheels, cupola) but in the end it still is the MOST detailed 1:18 piece. It has no less than 10 working hatches, it has a removable turret with full detailed interior, and has engine detail.
It was not the first piece of 1:18 armor, but it still may be the best..

Agreed, it's probably my favorite tank out of any of them... The interior alone gives it that ranking. Not sure on it being my favorite chunk of armor, as the halftracks have a certain level of detail that I've yet to really see matched, for the price, but the Tiger's easily my favorite tank.
Now... If the BBI or other company's Sherman came out with a removable turret and interior? Well, then I think the Tiger finally got a point blank shot in the ass.

Even after its 2002 debut, the 21c Tiger is still the best piece of 1:18 armor. You will not be disappointed with it! Depending on which version you ultimately decide on, you may also want to track down about five of the 21c German tanker figures in either the spotted cammo or the winter cammo
On another note, I am very curious as to whether or not the new 1:18 King Tiger will finall knock the Tiger off its pedestal as the best of the 1:18 armor. At this point, my guess is either/or. I have this funny feeling that despite its size, the 1:18th King Tiger will follow the route of the Panzer IV and not have an interior...

Indeed. It will be interesting to see how these stack up to the competition. If the paint schemes on the two Tigers pictured on the back of the box are any indication they should be excellent even if they prove to be somewhat less detailed than the 21C examples. I've been checking my local Target stores weekly to see if anything has shown up, nada yet, but it would be sweet if they showed up in the Thanksgiving and/or Xmas time frame.Don't forget that Unimax will release 1/18 Shermans and Tigers
