Another custom made possible by Lair/Jackson/Vexilarius

Post by flpickupman » Mon Sep 10, 2007 5:04 am

My apologies to Lair for the long delay in completing this custom.

This was my first experience with his decals and I am quite impressed. They're thick enough to be durable coming off of the sheet, yet laid down really well even without Microsol. I highly recommend his goods and hope to call upon him again in the future. :D

Now for the bird.

It's not quite done as the local hobby shop was out of spray on dullcote. I hope to find some at another shop tomorrow afternoon and will post another couple of photos of the completed project.

Actually, it may take a little longer than expected. I just realized I placed the kill markings and crew list placard incorrectly.

Well, that's what I get for not having my reference photo right in front of me. :x As per your tip, I expect to have things corrected this evening and the plane finished up tomorrow afternoon.

Thank you very much. :D

P.S. As for the photos, would you prefer to copy the small images from here or would you like the large images emailed directly?

Will do, and I'll try and find a better setting than my fiancee's room. 8)

Thanks guys. Having worked a 12 hour shift yesterday, I couldn't find the motivation last night to fix things up. Today is only 8, so I hope to have things rearranged and dullcoted this afternoon. :D
