Yes, thanks to the judges and Lightning2000.. You guys made this happen.
It's a great idea and served as a great excuse for me to get some of these projects done that were running around in my head.
Congrats to the winners as well of course! Tough competition, but we'll get you next time!

Greetings
I really had intentions to do something much more involved for this contest but unfortunately just have not had the time to play with toys (other than chess and checkers and dozens of rounds of UNO with some of my students). Teaching a new grade level and the lesson plan writing and other paperwork that goes with it just took way too much time this time around. Generally being a teacher, September October is a bad time of year to compete because of getting a new class and having all the paperwork and early school year stuff we have to do. A winter contest would be great.

Not liking the thought of a winter contest - think about us poor saps who have to suffer through 70 degree temps in January . Considering we got snow last year, I don't expect more for another 7 years - too long to wait to enter.

MM brings up a good point. I think that a winter contest would be fun but I think if it was done, we couldn't force it to be snow because some people don't get snow. But just building for another contest would be fun.

Actually, there are plenty of good ways to fabricate phony snow, quite indistinguishable from the real thing.Coreyeagle48 wrote:MM brings up a good point. well now that this one's over how bout starting another? But this tiemmake in more themed! We shoudl definently do a winter-themed dio contest, but obviously without Lightning having to sponsor it again (don't want to bled him dry ). Who knows, maybe I will help judge this one , don't really know....
