DATELINE: THE JUNDLAND WASTES
Today, the local Jawa tribe put on display their newest acquisition - an anti-infantry artillery emplacement. The weapon is the result of a new cooperative agreement signed between the Jawa Tribe and the Germany Army.
Here is a picture showing the ceremonial handoff of the weapon from the German representative, Major Otto Schnitzelpusscronkendeshankmeyer.
"We are pleased to be able to provide a means for our Jawa friends to defend themselves from all the unsavory characters in this region - sandpeople, Imperial troops, and pesky farmboys."
Germans and Jawas, looking forward to a long, successful alliance.

It's funny. Until I looked at these pictures, I didn't realize the gun barrel was sagging so badly

Goes to show what you always read in garden railway magazines - sometimes it helps to take pictures to see your models how other people would view them.

Maybe the Germans knew the barrel was sagging, but gave it to the unsuspecting Jawas anyway.

Another plot by the Gerrys to gain total control?????

A little off topic, but in Morocco, Tunisia, and other North African countries, the Berbers wear a cloak that is eerilly similar to those which the Jawas in Star Wars wear. A professor of mine once showed me some pictures of people wearing the garment from when he studied in Tunisia, which he likened to Jawas riding bicycles

Tell me about it. Wave 3 has been few and far between around here, and I've not been hunting as much as I used to. I need to get me some more of those digusting little creatures.

Dunno why, but I just assumed it would be the good old 88 used as a flak gun.
Which is kinda scary when the first pic you see is the Jawas with the gun on their own...
Damn, I knew the Empire had a big army, I just hadn't realised how big!
