Good job weathering that halftrack and nice setup for the photo :D

Taking a diorama picture is all about the lighting and photo-angle. You don't really need a fancy camera or photo shop computer program to take and spruce up a picture.

Here's how I did it. First, I printed out a background picture, which was a sample landscape photograph that came on my computer. Then I arranged the figures, vehicles, etc. and positioned the camera so that it did not overlap the backdrop too much, yet was also not so close that the objects were blurred. (You can see I didn't do that very well in the first picture...) I made sure to have decent backlighting, though I found that having the light too bright, such as when using a flash, made the items look toyish. I then took the picture and cropped it using a simple photo or paint program that came pre-installed on my computer. The result was the diorama photo

I don't mean to brag about this, or to hijack your thread, but thought I'd pass the tips I use along to you and the other boardmembers, should they prove helpful. Good luck :D

That weathering job looks great, ed. With tmanthegreat's dio advice, you should be able to make somethin' that looks real nice. I notice that you've got Forces of Valor sandbags there ;) Hard to miss such a great-lookin' product... [/sarcasm]
