Any tips on weathering?

hey, yes I realize that there is alot of thing on the net about weathering but I wanted to find out what methods you guys use to weather your uniforms/vehicles/planes. I really want to make my stuff look like its seen some action

you should use a silver pencil or aluminum paint to put paint chips on the leading edges of the wings and props. all along the engine panels where the crew would remove them, and along the wing root on the left side where they board the plane. another method is to paint the plane silver then paint the other color over and use a piece of tape to tear off the new paint in specks. use tamaiya smoke to weather the gun barrels and exhaust with an airbrush. you can use black ink in the panel lines after its painted and sealed, or you can airbrush the lines with the ink or black paint diluted first. lots of little tricks it takes a few planes to try them all. I like used equipment over new stuff try some stuff on a plane without a repaint first get your feet wet dave
