I like to take pictures outside because of the lighting and it gives me more room to work!!!! In some pictures it depends on what look you are trying to get!!! So some pictures might be simple like Marines crossing a river or stream---so all you need is Marines and a creek!!! But you got to remember to try to keep everything to scale---so dont put your Marines next to a full grown Oak tree cause it wont look right---it will look like a 1:18 Marines next to a full grown Oak tree!!! :P  But do put your Maines next to stuff like rocks(cause rocks can be all sizes) weeds and small saplings!!!!Branches work well also as trees!!! You just got to remember to make everything look to scale!!!!Also if you are outside I like to remove everything on the ground down to the dirt or sand then add what I need!!!! :wink:Some times you can add 1:32 or 1:144 to 1:18 to your picture you just have to get the angle right!!! ---In some pictures like Marines on a ship you need alot I mean alot of detail of detail---like boxs, ammo cans, gear, ect!!!! You just got to getalot of stuff in the picture without overdoing it!!!! So all in all you need to take your time and you will learn more ticks that will work for you!!!! Good luck Brother and cant wait to see your work!!!---RED---

I've never set up a permanent dio, but the ones I've shot outside seem to work best. For me, it all comes down to the photo, or how real I can make the shot look
