Well i`ve enjoyed making these & I`m over the moon to finally have the USCMs from the movie. Now to do an APC eh :D Oh yea a Gorman is planned though at the moment i`m leaving it to "Top" to sort the Marines out.
I`m now going to start on my custom Platoon to work along side Apone`s Platoon :D

Hope you like them.

Only one question. Is this going to be a stand up fight or another bug hunt? Nice job on the Marines.

HAHAHAHA Love the quotes guys :D

Thank`s very much & glad you like them :D

As for other characters,Burke,Bishop & Newt are all on the cards. As for Ripley there is a Hot Toys figure of her which If I can get her I will,if not Yea I`ll make my own instead.

I`m currently figuring out how to make a corridor section from LV-426 in the movie to have the figures stand. Though that maybe sometime off.

Again Thank`s :D

Scope,
I do have a fair few areas of interest as well as Mil & I as long as it`s not minded here, would like to share from time to time these customs also.
I`ve ALWAYS wanted to have a set of USCMs as close as possible to the characters in the film at this scale. Finally I do. Now the other half of that dream want is of ocurse the APC & Dropship too...LOL So who know`s though I don`t pan on waiting another 25 years to have them done ...LOL

Forgive me guys but do they make a 1/18 Alien? The large queen and all. It seems like I am on the outside looking in.

Steel Bonnet,
That is so cool. :D Were was I when these came out :?: The army of aliens are awsome. I don't think Wolverine will hold is own. He will probably get one or two but the blood acid will be his demise. Unless his talons can re-grow fast.

i got a couple of aliens figures today. Ripley and Drake. I like. :)

Ripley will go great with my Alien Queen i got a few years ago and Drake is just cool all by himself. Anyone know where i can get some 1/18 Alien eggs? How about a 1/18 Newt?

Forgive my ignorance - did 1/18 alien figs come out? I remember hearing there might be some snap-together ones being produced, but never saw anything.

Or are steelbonnet's figures completely custom? They're awesome no matter what the source!

where you been, man, living under a rock?? lol....yes they came out last year by Hot Toys. I missed the boat on them too (still don't know how). Seem to be sold out everywhere now but i snagged a couple off ebay.

The two figs i got are quite nice. SB has modified these figures to make his customs.

parrish333,
Hot Toys over the last couple of years have gave us Predators & Aliens based on the AVP movie (they actually made 2 series of these & the 2nd set contained the parts to build the Huge Alien Queen too).
Then last year as Aferg has said Hot Toys brought us Aliens vs Colonial Marines.
Now as for my customs here.Over all they are Hot Toys figures that have been customized with XD,BBI,Joe,etc parts. Though the Vasquez & Deitrich figures are All my own custom work,as Hot Toys haven`t done any female marines.....YET ;)

Aferg,
There great arn`t they :D Must admit with my zealous run to get Marines (mainly last year) I forgot to get a Ripley so you have one up on me....LOL
I`ve now got 3 Full Platoons of Marines inc this movie Platoon. When i`m finished customizing the other 2 Platoons I`ll be showing them as well.

75th,
Thank`s mate.Glad you like these :D Ohhh yea I had a LOT of fun doing these Marines. Moreso for these guys are something I`ve always wanted to have at 1/18th scale & Now I DO.
Makes it so much more enjoyable to get something that`s only been a dream.

Again Thank`s for all the very kind words & questions :D

hmm......some of those hot toys aliens figures seem to be going for a ton. Apone listed for $30 and Hicks for $40! Drake is only $15, which i find surprising since i think he's the coolest figure of the bunch.

I doubt we'll see a re-issue but you never know, i guess. Disappointing.

Yea I know this evilbay dealer is truely making a killing on his prices.

Though as far as Hot Toys is concerned,They may not being re-issuing them BUT I`ve heard say that there may well be a 2nd series to the "ALIENS vs USCM" sometime this year.
I`m waiting to hear more before I post anything solid & if lucky pictures too.

Not under a rock, in a bubble actually; it's more comfortable than a rock.

Man, I'm bummed I missed these. Now the cheapest on e-bay is $15 for one, then up to $30 and $40 for two of the other characters. And those prices don't include shipping!

It's really hard to justify $40 for a fig when I can go to my local WM and get 8 quality 1:18 figs for the same price.

Just the laws of supply and demand I guess - if they don't make another big batch then the small # of units out there become inflated in price as collectors items.

Now $40 for that sweet APC from the movie, THAT I could justify in a heartbeat!
