Just a little update...and a warning. Naked Sabre pictures included!!

The bomb pylons are near complete and are attached (temporarily) to the wings. Locator pins have been drilled....and the US markings have been removed. The new SAAF markings are on the way and I believe I have found a near match to the silver paint. Time to get busy!

You are correct sir (I had to find SOMETHING you haven't tackled before me!!). The South African Air Force operated USAF F-86's from Jan '53 thru Sep '53 as part of the 18th FBW out of Osan AB. This particular aircraft is "K" 604 named BEVKENEVE by it's pilot.

The markings are in....and HOLY CRAP they are beautiful! If the weather gets decent enough to do a little painting this weekend, I hope to start marking real soon.
