1/18 scale Female Fighter Pilot: Lt. Nicole Cannon, USN

Post by MiG29K » Sun Nov 26, 2006 9:19 pm

One cannot help but be inspired by Scope UK's work. His skill level is something I strive for and I definitely give my friend "props" for taking things beyond the edge! I figured its about time we had some Girls behind the controls -woot woot!- and this would be an opportunity to try my hand at making a 1/18 scale cloth flight suit - the twist here being, tailored for a Female Pilot. (Her Vest and G-suit will eventually follow) Enter Navy "Lt. Nicole Cannon." Call Sign: Electra. While her F/A-18 is undergoing systems checks at PAX river MD, she's checking out the sister service's F-16C.

Top Marks to both you Rob & most certainly ScopeUks handywork :D

As a big fan of his clothing anyway I can see he`s certainly got you on his band wagon now :D

So your having a vest & G-Suit made too,WOW She`ll look the Dog`s Boll*"%s when she`s fully kitted out, though already you can see how well she fits.

Using a Femal microman body is a perfect choice too IMHO.

Outstanding :D

If it hadn't been for the plane, my first blush was that this was another mis-posted 1/6th project.. Bravo! :D

Thanks to all of you, VMF, Kevrut, Bonnet, Grunt1

Working 1/6th scale as Grunt made mention is by far easier and I'm surprised that it would be mistaken for it. At 1/18th scale, the challenges are in triplicate esp when reverse stitching and having to turn the garment inside out as with actual clothes. Ja, those micromen err women with the 30 points or articulation are incredible! I'm thinking of going to my local "supplier" and clearing what he has left, assuming he has more. I also may have a supplier for the 80's GI JOE F-14 SkyStriker which I'll find out today. I'll let you know. I took the face and hands off another un-named figure and made them micro-girl compatible. This was a good little Holiday weekend diversion between the Turkey, Cranberries, Stuffin' WWF/WCW (Family edition), and the whole lot!

Rob,

I say BUY UP all the Microman`s & MicroLadies you can mate. These are a great base for customs ;)

Now you may have a dealer with his hands on LOTS of the Joe Skystrikers Awwww WOW that`s some news mate :D Hope that pans out :D

Slave girl Leia outfit for flying, mmmmmmm
Though I think Lt. Nicole "Electra" Cannon may find NCIS looking into her background for her errm activities. Now that would make an interesting character for Special Agents Gibbs,DiNozzo & McGee to Investigate :D

Got to say I love the Info/Warning Signs, they are more apt & truely tell it how it is :D
