Japanese heads and NVA/VC bodies?

Post by lsc1002 » Thu Oct 19, 2006 8:00 am

Has anyone put the heads from the Japanese figures on the bodies of the VC or NVA? Would this work? I know the NVA probably would not but would it be too much of a stretch for the VC to carry some of the Japanese weapons, like the machine gun Sgt Kudo or the hand mortar carried by Pvt Yamato?

I had some thoughts on this a while back when I was needing some more VC and thought that if the Japanese uniform was painted black, I might be able to get away with it.
I have a few extra VC now and might try switching heads with a Japanese figure. When I do, I will post a pic or let you know how it turns out...

If you are asking if the NVA or VC would have used some older weapons from WWII, then your answer is yes. Many of the equipment and weapons were throw backs from all nations. Most of the common HMGs they used were Japanese WWII. The also had many WWII Russian and Chinese arms as I have read. Almost like a rag tag Army in that means. Anything they could get they would use.
