I was fooling around with a piece of fishing line and my camera in the backyard this afternoon. Just thought I'd share a few photos of my Cobra.

Cool idea! Great way to get a "flying" dio without having to make the helicopter RC :D

Pickupman!

Those pics rock! I like the angle of the first shot where you have a 3/4 rear vantage point. Is that an M60A1 Tank below? Great stuff!

Thanks guys. :)

Mig, nope, it's just a plain old re-released M48. I was able to get that effect by hanging the Cobra from the clothes line (it ended up being about 2 1/2 feet off the ground). Put the Patton up front some, and then all I had to do was wait for the Cobra to slowly spin around to the right angle. I shot these sitting on my behind. lol

NICE!!!!

Wish I had thought of that...

Can't wait for spring to try it out (the grass is already pretty much dead and brown here in AR, both because of the season and the lack of rain this year - about half of my shrubs are dead)

Then you have the perfect setting for Camp Pendleton in the Summer. SoCal has 2 seasons. Summer=brown, Winter=green.

Pretty cool! The only thing that looks out of scale is the grass.

No worries Red. It's all in good fun. Thanks for the comments.

immeww2, I wanted to have Bermuda grass in the back yard, but since my brother does all the landscaping, he said 'No.' Too much upkeep. lol

Nice idea & well executed too mate.

Just need to sort out a proper helo crew for the Cobra. Must admit I`m going to have to pull my finger out one day & get me one of the Cobra versions for my collection.

Thanks Ja.

I've got a couple of the BBi guys on the way(along with the USMC dune buggy), and I'm looking into putting together a Marine Fire Team or two for the Cobra to back up. Next will be the LAV, and maybe even the Force Recon Hummvee. I'm not a big fan of the Hummer though. I'll have to wait and see what my budget permits.

now what you need is to figure out how to fire a mini roman candle or something for some hellfire action.

get it all on film
