Has anyone found a good substitute for Testors Dullcote spray finish? It's super expensive up here and sometimes hard to find. I see Krylon has a clear flat finish, i'm wondering if it's any good.

Comments/suggestions?

Testor is the best despite the cost and I think better than Krylon. The Krylon seems to have some shine to it but its not glossy. Short of using flat colours, I don't know what else is out there

You could try using their "brush-on" method. Comes in a 1-3/4 oz. bottle. Depending on the application ,.... apply generous coats with minimum brushing required. .. 8)

I have looked for a substitute in a larger can also Aferg, but haven't had much luck. Dullcoat still seems to be the best.

I've searched and tried may other brands, haven't found anything that is as flat as Dull Coat. Someone told me that's because it's actually a laquer, not a paint.
