Random Custom Figs

The wife was nice enough to make some pants for a few figures, so I thought I'd take a group shot of some recent customs.

Left to Right:
SW Clone in body suit w/o armor
2 Vietnam troops - XD bods with Starting Lineup heads
Ugandan Tanker - Actually found a pic of a Uganda Sherman driver with this headgear
2 psuedo VC troops - one Microman with GI Joe head, the other being SS Namor with added "junk"
Pakistani Trooper from the Siachen Glacier - footgear is wrong, but I like the sandals
Militiaman - POTC2 Cannibal
Indian Scout on Breyer horse.

Very nice.
What particular starting line up figs did you get the heads?
Did they require any kind of extra effort to fit the VN bodies??

The one on the left if Curt Warner. The right one was Larry Centers.

The SL heads tend to be a little big. If they are next to one of the newer XD figures with smaller heads, they look like they have a slight case of gigantism. But with the Vietnam figs, I think they look alright. Besides, I have a huge stockpile of SL figs to use. A better choice of heads, which I don't have any to use, are the NBA figures Mattel put out about 8 years ago. Or the Gracelyn line, if they ever put out the NBA series.

But, if you want to use the SL figs, do the boil and pop, then you have to grind off some of the post to make them fit. Do it carefully, and the head still can turn like the XD fig.

Very cool and quite a variety of periods/themes! :D

I like the WWII tanker, especially if they ever produce that movie about the 761st tank battalion.
