XD Plastics

Post by Morian Miner » Tue Sep 26, 2006 4:30 pm

He's an interesting little observation from today. I was giving two sets of arms from an XD Vietnam figures the Rit Dye treatment (one articulated set and one posed-for-rifle set). When I pulled them out of the dye, the posed arms and the hands and lower arms of the poseable set all dyed very nicely. But the upper arms on the one set did not. Any one have an idea why the upper arms didn't take the dye? I don't think they are different plastic.

yeah they probably are a different type of plastic. I used to cut up those older xd arms all the time, when doing customs and the upper arms were always super hard to cut as the plastic was much harder than on the lower arms (or vice versa). Anyway, i would bet that they are different types of plastic.
