Post by steelbonnet » Fri Sep 08, 2006 3:48 pm

Hi All,

Well I`ve had the privilage of seeing this beauty & now kagnew has asked if i could post photos of his work for all to enjoy.
I believe the Propeller heads will enjoy this :D

I`d like to firstly post what Kagnew emailed me concerning this aircraft.

"hi Jason
thought you might want to see how Avenger is coming
i found out that 1st Pres. Bush was in backup plane when shot down.
So i decided to do his most used plane for repaint."

Firstly some WIPs of the Bush Avenger. Sorry about the size of these I`m just the messenger. he`s away playing with StarFighters tomorrow so hopefully he`ll sort out larger photos when he`s back if that`s what is needed).

Kagnew,

What color paint and brand did you use on your Avenger?

Awesome job :D Now you're giving me ideas, but I'm going to hold off repainting anything until I actually see the rumored 21c Bush Avenger. You nonetheless picked a great custom job to do, and luckily have a Bush-look alike pilot (and harem) to go with it

i did the Bush Avenger because when i finely found them i was 200 miles from home, i bought 2. when i got home one was broken in several places
the engine was glued in crooked, it had weathering on one side and not the other etc.
anyway i took parts from both and made a nice Atlantic Avenger.
:) what to do with all the bad parts?
so i fixed all the defects. later I was going through some books,& google internet
i started getting an idea.
then in local hobby shop was 1/48 model of X2 & X3
i bought it so i could have a good reference source plus blow up the decals in my computer and print them in 1/18.
so from a pile of bad parts i made a fair looking model i think.
