Small Scale Military Headquarters

Well As you know from the WIP Brit Web gear thread,I`m working on more Brit stuff

I`ve had the pleasure of ScopeUK making me a British Smock which I then painted in British DPM pattern.
I have also added one of my custom PLCE web sets.

The figure itself is a Eversparkle body with BBI hands & INTOYZ Articulated feet.The head is from a Black Hole figure.

he is wearing a DPM "Crap" hat which was originally from the Action Force Radio Operator (the cap is actually styled after the crap hat too). Again I painted DPM.

Well here you go the photos.

Well there you go. I need to sort out slings yet for my SA80s & finish them off too. Though you`ll see those when I show you the WMIK landies fully kitted out & manned.

So there you have it for DPMs. Like most camo patterns their are varients of shades & colours.

As for the Crap hat here you go of the Real version.

Well Ja looks like the Jacket came up very nice! it's good to see Brit figures
I must say the dpm painting on the fig really works well do you have to use a special paint on the eversparkle body as it struck me as the type of plastic that the paint would chip off easily?
i have a few of those crap hats myself but and the dpm pattern on them makes them look totally different.
the plce sets also look great painted up

The DPM painted onto the Eversparkle figure is just Games Workshop paint. I have used this method on around 15-20 Brits & none have chipped yet. The base green of the Eversparkle figures makes the DPM work a lot better & reduces paint used for the DPM.

The Z force hat does indeed make the difference when painted up.
I`m going to have to get some more of them though as I`d love to make a General Moore (Royal Marines) for a Falklands customs tribute. His was a single greyish Blue colour with his rank on it IF memory serves me.

Though you are right,it`s great to have British troops up on the board We need more

No probs Ja re the Smock it's good to see it in dpm it's amazing how much different it looks unpainted and then painted.

Well it looks like i am going to have to go and have a proper look in games workshop at their paints then.

As for a Falklands custom i think it has to be done it's something i have also wanted to do i have a couple of AF FN Fal's that i would like to put on a custom at some point. Also have a couple of GIJOE M-16A1's that would look great on a Falklands SAS fig

I must admit there is a BIG difference between getting the cloth uniform parts in the one base colour & then once camo has been applied.

I still feel very proud of the Woodland set I painted for you.

As for some Falklands customs,most certainly has to be done Thank God I still have my MC Full Volume File of the Falklands War magazines. Plenty of Excellent ref material & the colour plates on the back of each issue too

Means though making some `58 webbing though after these PLCE I`m confident enough

I too have a few of the AF L1A1s & a few of the Ripcord Springfield version (with some customizing a solid L1A1 can be done). Plus Mjs giving us Sterlings,well once you backtrack the Blaster stuff off them,later this month

I have a 1/18th Series III 109 Landie I can do up,though I`m not too sure if we actually had Landies tearing around on the Falklands with the invasion forces. As most of the campaign was the old fashion Foot slogging way.
Though the ONE surviving Chinook Truely being a Work Horse & a Fantastic PR piece for the manufacturers.Was truely a Highly sought after mode of transport too.

As for the fitting of the jacket well that`s down to ScopeUKs Outstanding talent of fitted garments. I asked him to make it fit an Eversparkle figure & he`s done a superb job.
As for the PLCE I just extended the belt to fit around the smock on this one.

You guys are really starting to make a solid case that 1/6th like detail is possible in 1/18..

Appreciate the very kind words & yea 1/6th at 1/18th does have a LOT of merits,moreso when you have ScopeUK making the clothing

Who knows maybe the companies will see that it does make sense to give HIGH articulation figures with cloth clothing & accs at 1/18th (a 1/6th set at 1/18th). Just think of the savings on plastic costs for instance.

Great job. You have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much patience. I would of blew a few gaskets making those!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
