Small Scale Military Headquarters

Since I have tossed out the treads for my 32x Panzer III by mistake and I have not had any luck finding replacements for less than I paid for the tank...I am thinking about removing the bootom of the hull and use it in a river crossing dio. Has anyone made water for a dio? I know you can by the mix for model railraods but I know there are other options. Has any one used polyurethane? Any suggestions would be appreciated as I don't know what else to do with a tank with no treads.

One quick an easy method I did just recently is use clear caulking. Cheap and easy. But, two warning are (1) if you are doing a large area, keep in mind shrinkage (heh heh, shrinkage) and more importantly (2) make sure you do a good job painting the subsurface. Took some shortcuts on mind, and it looks like crap (but the water looks nice). And to give you an idea, the area I did was 12" wide by 30", so not exactly a small area. I also like this method since its naturally "turbulant" water - urethane you have to mess with the surface during the drying process.

Use real water?
Make a Lining out of something water proof, you can use plastic bags, and pour real water in there.

Obeying the jumping plane, in and of itself, is not necessarily a bad thing. However, what might the jumping plane be telling you to do? lol
