bbi F/A-18C Rear Landing Gear (Depot Level Maintenance)

I got up, skipped breakfast and turned up FOX News then I decided to get to work and it probably took an hour-ish to execute 'Depot" level maintenance on the Hornet's Landing Gear. It looks eons better than it did at 0545 hours... The 87 degree weather plus ultra humidity does strange things to people up here in the TWO-ZERO-SIX...It is now 1027 hours. The strut bars were heated to shape and scratch built. The spring coils were also built from scratch using technology that literally came outta nowhere. (Click on center mousebutton/wheel to maneuver image)

Much appreciated Moth! And your DC-9 or MD-80, 90 if you will, is hilarious! I keep imagining some "boing boing boing" type sound effects...something off a kid's show! Take care man!

Did you get your Avenger yet? Or are those even out?

The Avengers have been found in Texas and California, by the time they will get to NY im sure BadCat will get them.

Thanks about the plane, I was laughing the whole day when I saw that thing.

I am doing all right, the fourth one came Saturday, I haven’t removed it out of the box yet no place to put it, but it looks great. It nice to have a Marine F-18 now. Now all I have to do is wait for my F-16 to show up, And for Bbi to make a Mig 29 so my Banana Republic of South Dakota Air Force has an adversary to shot at.

WOW Rob Awesome work mate.

Now the BIG question is How much suspension has the bird got & how does she take to the ramps??? HAHAHA

At least we Now all know that Once you have built the 1/18th Jet Turbines you DO have somewhere to take off from & test the engines out too ;) :D

Outstanding.

You missed that McTwist and Axle stall that the Hornet pulled off in front of those two skaters man! It was sick sick sick... Tony Hawk woulda been floored! It's gotta be the suspension!
