Hi all. Has anyone every put "Snow" on tanks, planes,or guns? If so, What did you use? Pics would be appreciated. I revently tried this, and wasnt too happy with the results. Better than the regular versions though... well anyways, I gotta hold my breath around my Sherman..
Well anyways I will hopefully get some pics tomorrow, see if we like them.. any and all FB is appreciated!

One thing I've wanted to try that I've seen in model railroad pics is mixing white glitter with plaster, but this is intended more for making snow scenes. But, may be worth a try.

and what method did you use?

what do you think? it kinda sucks...
i got those Build a Rama Rubble Set, and i took one rock from it. I then chopped it in half, and used some of my special metal and wood tools that i made, and scraped the sides so the inner material of the rock turned into powder and 'snowed' over the tank and halftrack and gun

no, i thought it looks pretty natural.

Agree. Looks very natural especially the way that the "snow" gathered more at the ends of the radiator inlets and other logical points.

I just picked up one of the re-issued S1 half-tracks and have been contemplating which theater to modify it for. Seems like this one would go great with BOB II figures in a BOB diorama.

yeah thanks. the gathering of the snow and stuff i did by using the rocks as chaulk. what about the mp-44? i think i could make a good diorama with the snow, but im not good at customizing and dont have any money

The snow weathering looks pretty good - actually more realistic than the BoB "winter" Halftrack 8)
