Steering and Elevation Enabled PR92-05

This Change Covers the Front Wheel Strut. The rework enabled two functions: Elevation and Steering Capability. Problems that had to be taken into account were the ability to fit the entire unit into the storage well, Adequate Up and Down mobility, and the axle design, in which 3 design options were devised but the most practical and durable version to be implemented. This also gave the plane a normal, straighter stance as opposed to the nosebleed look.
1. The first cut was made right below the Hydraulic Steering Unit.
2. The Axle for Left Right steering and the Elevation function could NOT come into conflict with one another and that was the crux of the design problem.
3. The wheels themselves had to turn in alignment with the catapult launch bar and still permit height elevation. This ended up a 2 day deal. Again, as with the other changes, I grossly overestimated the time from design to completion. (ETA: 2 months)
4. One problem NOT addressed: There is an angled guide arm to the rear of the wheel. That was not included because it would not properly fit into the storage well. I may revisit this later.
Below are the progression pics from start to finish:
