Very nice, it just needs some Marsden matting to really give it that "Pacific Island" airfield look.

I like the Black & white look - very authentic. Nice. Good setup and arrangement.

Nicely done. Photobucket.com now has video hosting capability. It's not a direct link that opens in WMP, but you can still share. Here's an example...

Thanks flickpickupman! That seemed to work
Here's the video with sound. The scenery doesn't change much and the sound isn't perfect - but the effect came out better than I expected
Enjoy!

Very very nicely done, looks real, but I think you put the fan on a bit fast,
the Corsair's prop only turns 3000RPM at it's maximum, about 550RPM at idle, and 900RPM at startup.

All you're missing is the smoke now!
And you might wanna look at getting that prop balances too, looks a little wobbly

I was afraid the plane was going to take off

and knock that XD soldier down.
But that soldier didn't seem too worried
Very cool, Tman!

tmanthegreat wrote:Thought I would have a little fun with my Corsair and the somewhat "tropical" look of my backyard and create a little Pacific Theater air field diorama, highlighting the Corsair starting up its engine. The pictures came out OK, though the muddy field does look a little rocky

I used a powerful box fan to get the prop-spinning effect. Enjoy
BTW, does anyone know how to upload a video taken on a digital camera to the internet, so I can post a link to this site? I have a couple videos (one with sound) of the Corsair engine startup sequence shown above. Thanks for your help!
I was going to do that. LOL
The first thing I did with my Bbi Marines Dream F4U was set it in front of a powerful fan, I am still going to try it but with two Corsairs.
