Thanks for the compliment Razor, I am just getting my feet wet with the Dio thing, and I hope to do some more in the near future. To answer your question the ground foliage is from "Department 56" which sells all kinds of scenics and figures etc for small Christmas scenes or "villages", the foliage I have in my dio is called "village roll of moss" and works great for a sort of rough field grass kind of look. What I did is sort of mash it down flat with a rolling pin and then seal it with "scenic cement" from Woodland scenics, this stuff is used a lot by model train enthusiasts, great stuff, dries quickly with a clear, no glare finish. Thanks again for the kind words.

Thanks for the kind words Steelbonnet. I have another diorama in the works, actually it's about 90% finished, it just needs some "fine tuning" and finishing, it's gonna be called "Attack On The Twin Villages" and will represent the German 6th Panzer div. assault on the villages of Krinkelt and Rocherath in Belgium held by the US 99th Inf. div. at the opening stages of the Battle Of The Bulge. It will feature a 21C Panther tank in "ambush camo", burnt out buildings on a cobblestone plaza, and lots of other goodies, and I hope you guys will like it. Cheers.

Nice Job, With the gun in recoil posistion you might try to add a little bit of cotton to the end of the barrel to simalate smoke. Try it see how it looks.

Looks great! Nice use of BAR accessories and the ground base. You are absolutely right in that the 21c German guns make for perfect little display pieces. I have a Pak-40 and 88mm gun displayed with crews on a shelf, and then have the little IG 18 set that came with the neat little diorama base on my desk.
