Here's a company making 1/6, 1/9, and 1/12 scale B-17s:

One of the members on the Sixth Division board posted it in a response to the 1/6 ball turret I'm working on:

Anybody ever heard of this company? Maybe a few letters could get them thinking

a company called EAM already makes a 1/18 scale B-17 kit. Probably just as easy to make as anything this company would offer..

This is great work. What I really want to know is if those german soldiers are actually 1:18, and if so, where did you get them?

wow
Dubar, one more question if you don't mind: You talked about a B-17 you have. Can you share some of those details as well? The 17 is my all time favorite aircraft of WW-II. I just love the beast! Thank you.

Eddie,
I'm only making a 1/6 ball turret. See one of the URLs I posted.
As far as difficulty building a 1/6 (all stuff shown was 1/6) goes, the wheels are probably the hardest part as there's so many types a tank needs (drive sprocket, road wheels, return wheel, idlers) whereas the track has only 1 type of link to it on a given tank. Once you make the mold you can spit out as many links as you need. The track on the MarderIII was homemade, but panzerwerks is coming out with some shortly.
I only have a few 1/18 planes so far (Spitfire, P40, Corsair, and FW-190), but will be getting the ME-262 and hopefully a FW-190A as well as a Zero and eventually a P-51. The B-17 would be cool IF it had all the turrets and you could somehow get to the insides. Maybe a hinged fuselage???

Hello
yeap! A hinged fuselage for the large bombers that have been suggested would be the way to go. There's been some discussion as to the possibilities of making such large models in 1:18, and so far, Admiral Toys appers to be the only company somewhat ineterested in doing it. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.
Congratulations on your extraordinary work. i truely enjoyed the pictures.
