Three story 1/18 scale building

Post by lsc1002 » Wed Apr 12, 2006 2:04 pm

I don’t know if this is the correct area for this but anyway. I bought this off ebay the other day for $20 + shipping. It needs some retooling but I think it has a lot of potential; size is great! After some renovations I believe it will make a good Wehrmacht HQ somewhere in Paris.:D Any thought on this building; if someone has one what have you done to it or use it for? Just a silly quiz does anyone know what building it is?
:D

Lance,
You could put the two themes together - The Haunted Wehrmacht HQ   You just need a Slimmer figure...

I think it will be really cool when you get done with it.
I would paint the red door a grey or black and put in some stairs.
You can invade Barbie's Dreamhouse with your 1/18 Germans for the stairs - Barbie and that Wimpy Ken have no chance!

I found a plastic doll house at a thrift shop that has a veranda for the German Leaders to stand on and give long speeches. It opens up in the back and has really cool columns, but lots of puppy and pink-froo-froo stickers on the inside walls. I think I can paint it and make it look good.

i'm afraid it won't make a fine parisian building, the architecture doesn't fit right

most buildings were built according to a XIXth century scheme defined by Baron Haussmann

cool find nonetheless 8)

A great find. I dunno about the architecture question, but with a little imagination I can certainly picture this building as being "somewhere in Europe". Based on the pics though, I think this thing is going to need some fairly extensive painting and weathering to look right, and get rid of that "shiney new toy" sort of look that it seems to have, but that should not be any big deal, and for 20 bucks what's not to like??
