Thank`s very much Black Dragon One :D

I`m hoping we`re going to see Many more 1/18th Superheroes from Hasbro next year when they take over the license at this scale.

Though we have a couple more series to collect from TOYBIZ Showdown range first later in the year :D

I`ve really enjoyed doing these characters though & I`ve got a fair few in the pipe too :D

Nice work steelbonnet. And I gotta say that after reading your post I realized I had not paid enough attention to the NY toy show. I googled TOYBIZ Showdown and found this: http://www.generalsjoes.com/toyfair_06_ ... owdown.htm
While I'm not so sure about Namor and why we need another Ghost Rider I am glad to see they decided to finish the Fantastic Four, and fill out the X-men a little more with Collosus and Cyclops. I am very excited about The Beast, Magneto and expecially Venom. Damn! Venom would have been my first choice of figure to see 1:18 right now, and it looks like a decent sculpt. There are a few that look surprisingly good like Daredevil, and Juggernaut. I would not have thought I would be interested in them, but I guess I'll have to get them too...

Also you mentioned that Hasbro has the licence for these? I hadn't heard that. Hasbro is planning to do 1:18 scale Marvel superheros? Next year you say? I can't wait to see what they have to offer!

One last thing. Back to the Toybiz showdown figure line; who is Moleman? Is he one of the Spiderman villans? Is he short? He looks like he may be short from the picture, but there is only one picture of him and nothing to compare him to.

Thank`s Don :D

As for the Showdown upcoming series, they do indeed look VERY promising :D Shame this will be the last of them from Toybiz :(

As for Hasbro. They take over the Marvel License from next year. As Hasbro do GI JOE & Star Wars at 1/18th I`, hoping they will continue with the Showdown line too. I had heard Hasbro also has rights to Takar`s Microman so maybe if that`s true Better constructed Showdown characters ?

Aferg,
In the first series your thinking of the Symbiant Spiderman not venom. Big size difference between the two of them :D

Now thats some smooth work! I like Cap'n America! and Wolverine! I had to do a double take because they look like stock action figures. You definitely have a precision hand! Can't wait to see the villains... or are they in hiding? I wanted to put some hottie chicks on my plane and was considering "sculpting" my own action figures from FIMO or similar clay-like materials... I've never really tried it but I think I might give it a shot.

Hmmm.... I can see Batgirl...Supergirl...and maybe Wonderwoman...

Here are your aircraft cheesecake figures Mig. There are a couple I think might look good posed on the wing. What are your thoughts?

steel if the super man by mirco 1:18 suck then you can use some of the new action figure form marvel to make a better supper man

you can make cyborg superman from the new figure and may be the solar man from super man 3 i think....

that would be great.

mole man does not look very powerful.....lol what is next dung man....lol

Post by MiG29K » Mon Apr 10, 2006 1:48 pm

Flpickupman! well dude, I must say DAAAAYUM!!! haha! I know that they made a 1/6th scale figures of adult film actresses such as Jenna Jameson and I'm thinkin' too bad they didnt tranlsate those to 1/18th! (Would look great on my many 1:18 cars: RX-7, F1, NSX, McLaren, Ferrari, etc.) but even more so on my planes. I keep picturing a Kylie Ireland or Jenna Jameson gracing my Hornet haha!!! but those 'Fast Girls" would do just as well ;) Good looking out man! whoo hooo!

Catch ya later!

Anytime bubba. The funniest thing is that I stumbled across them using "1/18 diorama" as my search term on Ebay.. lol

HAHAHAHAHA Thank`s RED :D Namor has his green pants on so he`s not totally nekked HAHAHA

As for sculpting,I use Milliput mate,a medium I`ve used for sooo many years i`m really confortable with. I`ve tried fimo & wasn`t happy with that though the idea of various colours did appeal just didn`t like the Fimo. Greemstuff I`ve never came across so I stick with Milliput :D

Again Thank`s :D
