Custom rockets?

Has anyone made a custom rocket set-up for their 190's?
I was really thinking of putting a R4/M, Wurfgranate 21 or a Ruhrstahl X-4 on one of my 190's and was looking to see if anyone had ideas on what to use. I really don't relish the though of making a X-4 out of Sculpey.

If you had a lathe you could make these no problem.A simple wood lathe to make a master and then cast them.If there was enough interest I would make a set of WFR.GR 's or X-4 if there is enough people that are interested I would make the masters if another member wanted to do the casting we could be onto something.Rubber to make molds and resin is way to expensive up in canada cost of these to make here would be to much.

I'm thinking i might be able to make one using a GI Joe vehicle missle as a base.

Wurfgranate 21 were the same rockets used in the 5 barrel 210mm nebelwerfer. Pretty simple shape. They looked like a very pointy, slightly fat artillery shell....should be easy to come up with without the expense and comlexity of casting etc. I've never done it but it sounds like a lot of work.
Rockets would be a cool addition to either the FW or the 109G....maybe an opportunity for an aftermarket product?

I'd buy a rocket or X-4 and hardpoint set-up. I dunno how many out there would be willing to do the (likely) necessary drilling of holes in the wings though.

I have some X4s that were made from SLAs. I've been hoping to make some castings of these to equip a few of my planes (do a Luft '46 Dora with a couple of these). They are currently packed, so when they get unloaded I'll take some pictures and send them to you, if you're interested.

I'd think the G.21 could be made pretty easily. If my math is correct, it would be a tube roughly 1/2" in diameter by 2 5/8ths" long. The projectile is little more than a bullet shaped nose and flat tail. Brass tube and rod would be about scale for the launchers under the wings. The actual projectile could be made from plastic tube and a conical cap. As for the R4/M series...a little more difficult, but doable. They would be about 1 3/4ths" long and small in diameter. The rack could be made from layered plastic sheet with rails added where missles are mounted. The hard part is the folding fins on each rocket. Photo etched brass or thin plate brass is the best I could think of. All the above sizes are already in 1/18th scale. Now the X-4 is a whole 'nother ballgame. That one would be downright fun!!!

I dug out my missile box to take a quick snapshot of the X-4. You can't see any detail on it due to the white plastic. The only detail that didn't turn out was the tail fins, but I plan to fix those white sheet styrene.

That's actually quite helpful, as i wasn't sure how to go about figure the sizes to make things.
Morian, that X-4 looks great.
