Times are tough right now for many on here that aren't old retired farts like us. They're experiencing challenges like all of us but may have job, school or health issues with family that takes priority over our toys and models. Life is uncomfortable in a lot of ways right now. Both time and funds can be tight right now and as great a distraction as our hobbies and passions are, reality often bites and takes a chunk out of our motivations. It's a terrible and dangerous mental health side effect of current events.

Keep up the good work!
This is definitely me right now in regards to times being tough. I am going to college online during the week and had to leave my Job working for Publix Supermarkets back in February because they were only giving me four hours of work a week, most of the money went to gas. It got so bad financially I was pulling more money out of my savings than i was saving. USAA actually cancelled my savings account and reverted it to another checking account. I even opened up my schedule so I could make more money, they promptly gave me a week without work so I went in the next day and resigned. I am happy I left right before the virus but at the same time I have a lot of things I need money for, I am getting my CCW and working on my Glock so that requires money, Maintain my SCUBA gear, and with school feels I find myself unable to buy more from the hobby. I also have switched more over to 1:6 scale due to space considerations. Right now times are just really tough especially for people my age. I refuse to watch the news and have stopped really going on social media due to the current political climate and I am even starting to regret my decision to go down the Criminal Justice degree path, I should have stayed with my History major but with how far I have gone with the CJ degree it is too late to switch back.
Anyway I just come on here to see how everyone is doing and look at some of the old posts for ideas

This too shall pass.....and as far as the CJ degree goes...as someone who has 46 years in law enforcement, I can definitely attest to the fact that it's one of the most rewarding career fields you can choose.

Hang in there Danny! Forget the History degree idea as a major. That's fine for a side minor. Jobs related to it aren't going to be there in a sick society that wants to erase history and embrace their own decadent culture.

It is quite unfortunate that is the case, I currently help run social media for the tank encyclopedia website and having to deal with wehraboos/nazis and people who worship soviet era stuff with a passion just drives me nuts. I also spend my free time in a gaming group that plays every sunday night but I have avoided the group a bit due to one member at one point going on a crusade against me calling me a Nazi since I know a lot about WWII. At one point this member (who is 41 with two sons) was in a voice channel with me and some other people and implied "someone in this channel needs to kill themselves". It has gotten better in some areas, he has laid off and come to an understanding but I still don't feel like I can find anywhere to truly escape to and relax at this point my one really relaxing hobby is going to the range and cleaning my Glock. It gives me that time and space to clear my head and focus on things.

I'm just about finished with a JSI "SpotCat" re-paint, for a good friend of mine. Hopefully I'll have something worth posting early next week. VF-41 markings.

I recently did a repaint of one 21st's 1:18 Bf-109G-6 Messerschmitts.
Its is Hauptmann Alfred "Martello" Hammer's Yellow 1 of JG 56 when
stationed in Italy, 1943 and like Steve I can't post pictures here. photo bucket wants more money,
that and the lack of 1:18 have really hurt this site...but I still check in.
