i actually asked this question on here. From what i've learned on a broken 21C aircraft. It's easier to sand it smooth and repaint it that way.
I tried soaking it in purple power degreaser, brake fluid, and 91% rubbing alcohol (seperately). None of these worked! So, I just sanded it down, primed, and painted.

If you want to remove ALL paint (as well as plating...like chrome), use over cleaner. Soak the parts in a bucket overnight....worked for me.

I guess you mean an oven cleaner ?

It's to remove all paint from a Marine F104-G. Will try this solution. Thanks for the tip guys

If you wanna remove just a spot, try Goof Off. DO NOT use it heavily. Actually be careful using it sparingly for that matter. Potent, eats plastic.
