A Desert BF-109E Redo

Post by Epap » Mon May 26, 2014 5:56 am

One of the BF-109Es on my redo list is "Red 1" of 2/JG 27, a North African bird. I like this one because of its yellow engine cowl and tail as well as it's sparing use of blotches. Using a Carousel 1 model as my base, I applied lightened colors and a good deal of staining to produce a well worn desert battler, with this result:Image

Really nice Epap. I have a few of the 3's. I need to start painting again.

Thanks, K. I find that the C1 models are excellent subjects for redos and will try a few more soon.
