Small Scale Military Headquarters

I posted this in the reference forum and got nothing back so I will post it here, maybe someone here can help.

In the last week I have found not one but many things I have NEVER seen or heard of.

Below is a series of pics, some of models and one of a real picture. I would love to hear from any of you that have knowledge about any of them...



Su122 on a Mark III??? Any info??




38t chassi with L/70 gun ??? info???



88mm on T-34/76 ??? info??? (Had to make that my new logo)

Any info on these would be of great help

Regarding the first picture, the Soviets captured hundreds of German Pz.III tanks---especially at Stalingrad----and converted many of them into self-propelled canons, mainly of the 76mm variety. This one looks to be sporting a larger gun---possibly a 100-122 mm canon---but, otherwise, is probably one of these conversions. As for the T-34s with the 88mm guns, I assume that these were last minute German improvisations, maybe at Berlin in 1945. I'm not certain whether the pictures showing canons mounted on what seem to be Czech tank chassis depict real AFVs.

I have read that it is a fake, to bad, would have made a cool model.

That t-34 with 88 is a photoshop job. I can't remember exactly where, but I recall one of the other WWII armor related forums I frequent debunked that after someone posted a pic.

I believe that is a wood burning device of some sort. I can't recall precisely what it's purpose was, but I think it was a means of propulsion.

That was my thought. They converted quite a few vehicles to burning wood and other fuels as petrol supplies ran low.
