1/18 Logans Run Car

Post by CW4USARMY » Mon Jul 08, 2013 9:20 am

OK All, This is my first attempt at building a Resin Garage Kit> It is 1:18 scale and bought it off a guy on eBay about 4 years ago and was waiting until I had time and space to build. Because it was a garage kit, there was a lot of cutting, grinding and sanding to make it all fit, especially to get a smooth surface to look like sheet steel or aluminum. I didn't weather it as it is supposed to be a future solar car so no oil stains etc. Any comments or suggestions to help me prepare to build the KT is appreciated :-)

Here is picture of original, then my build.

Dude, is that your collection on all those metal shelves or are you running a toy store out of the back room?

LOL. That's my collection room over my garage/workshop. When I retired from the Army a few years ago, we moved down to Alabama and I promised the wife I would keep all of my toy/collection in my workshop so I had a detached garage built with a room over the top. (although she lets me keep some of my collection in the movie room too ;-)) It actually looks worse (or better, depending on how you look at it ;-)) since that picture was a couple of years ago and I've collected more stuff over those years :-D

WOW!
That is an awesome build!
All you need now is Logan, Jessica and REM to in 1/18 to complete the look.
(Don't include Francis - he is a party pooper...)
